Great food and brilliant jazz have proved a winning combination at the Pump House’s monthly Jazz nights. To build on the success, ‘Integrity’ (formally ‘Gastro Jazz’) is moving to the first Wednesday of every month from June onwards, and there are some very special guests on June 4th to whet people’s appetite for more great things to come.

Saxophonist Iain Ballamy is widely regarded as one of the UK’s key composers and players, and his reputation is growing across Europe. In a pairing which has already set the local jazzers talking, he’ll be joined on the night by the incredible pianist Jason Robello for a rare one-off duo set. Spotted & nutured by none other than the great Wayne Shorter who produced his first album at only 21, Jason has gone on to perform with Sting, Peter Gabriel & many others.

“This night combines two of life’s greatest pleasures – food and music – so we are delighted to put our weight behind it and bring in some great names from the UK scene,” said Luke Harney from Open Source Studios, who are now promoting the event. The night is open to diners, who can enjoy a special set two or three course dinner, and to people looking to enjoy a drink and some live music. Entry is free.

Open Source are also behind the all new ‘Sunday Sessions’ at the Pump House. With a live band comprised of the cream of Bristol’s musicians every week & DJs playing the best in Soul, Funk & Hip Hop - all perfectly in tune for a lazy Sunday afternoon social. Sunday Sessions launches on 25th May.
