Bristol's Venn festival, now in its fourth year, has an amazing lineup of experimental music between May 31st and June 3rd. "Venn 07's many musical colours include nervous pop, bicycle noise, industrial jungle, world-wise folk and neon-lit house - yet through the Venn kaleidoscope no sound stays still: everything can be something else."
Artists include Faust, Colin Potter, Paarvoharju, Spring Heel Jack, J Spaceman, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Scroobius Pip vs Dan Le Sac, KTL (Stephen O’ Malley), KTL (Pita), Vladislav Delay, Ghostigital, Extreme Noise Terror, The One Ensemble, Lawrence, Safety Scissors, Maher Shahal Hash Baz, Yellow Swans and Arrington De Dionsyo. This year's venues include Arnolfini, Cube, Thekla, The Croft, Clockwork, Louisiana and The Tube. Tickets are very reasonably priced, £7 will get you in to a number of diverse gigs, but be warned - entry is on a first come, first served basis so you will want to get to the popular gigs early to be sure.
This year sees some hi-tech wireless wizardry which might help if you can't get in: The Xtream events will be beaming a hi-resolution audio/visual stream of live Venn shows from the Arnolfini to The Cube (Friday & Sunday) and The Cube to The Croft (Saturday night).
