 Familiar name, familiar sound......with a twist. Gloucestershire boys The Effects of Alcohol are making quick tracks up the rock scene, and look set to become the saviours of british popular music.
Foot stomping rock anthems that are every inch British, and proud, set this 5 piece band apart from a wash of americanised punk and copycat indie twangings sporting Mockney accents that we have become accustomed to.
Stephen Morris of BBC radio Gloucestershire sums up their sound:

Neil Squires, rhythm guitarist and songwriter, tears out pounding riffs that scream "Morning Glory" while a sweeping and epic lead line leaves Slash fans nodding in approval, and considering a change of worship to the signature green guitar of Gareth Hamer.
Rallying choruses of "Never Surrender" and "Go on and roll the dice/see if it saves your life" tempt even the most reluctant of listners to tap away in absent-minded approval.

A cross between the 'Phonics, Oasis, with the right balance of attitude and musicianship has seen these talented youngsters rise through the local ranks to take on venues across the nation.
