"Books for Amnesty" are promoting a fund-raising concert at the QEH Theatre, Jacob's Well Rd, Bristol on the Saturday 7th June 2008.

Headlining will be Steve Tilston, who is well-known to Bristol Folk audiences. He will supported by Dave Griffiths (mandolin and double bass) and Jim Reynolds (guitar) who are also familiar faces around the clubs. They are old friends of Steve's and after playing their own spot, may well re-appear to join with Steve for a couple of songs.

Completing the bill is Alphonse Daudet Touna, from the Cameroon, who plays balafon, guitar and hand-drum.... and Ruth Royall, a talented young (only 17!) Bristol-based singer songwriter, who is already being mentioned around as having a very bright future.

All the artists are giving their services without fee. Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) in advance, £12/10 on the night if available and can be obtained from Bristol Ticket Shop (who have waived their usual booking fee) and from "Books for Amnesty" 103 Gloucester Road, Bishopston. (Opening hours 10am - 4pm, Mon-Fri and 11am - 5pm Sat)
