Bristol's Music Scene on BBC Radio |

The idea is appealing, good to know that Bristol Uncovered is uncovering us, and to hear an interview with Rasha on the radio is totally satisfying - Fine Tuned, BBC Radio Bristol, 28th April 2007. A short trawl of the vast BBC website's online audio offerings seems pretty fruitful - far more than we had imagined. Two local music shows that you might find reasonably reasonable, as you may have guessed actual opinions vary here at bristolgigs.com.
Fine Tuned: Local music features (April)
Fine Tuned is an area of the BBC website dedicated to our local music scene including artist profiles, news and gossip and a handful of gig recommendations.
BBC Radio Bristol newsreader and musician Kate Salisbury presents an interview with Rasha Shaheen, of Mooz, Liftmen, Male and recently solo fame. "She writes reflective, slightly moody melodies with indie guitar sounds and a trace of the Middle East coming from her Egyptian background. Her first album Hatshepsut is available on her myspace website. She is next playing solo at Cafe Kino on Saturday, June 9 and supporting Scout Niblett at Thekla Social on the Wednesday, May 23 as one half of the duo "The Hard Returns"."
