The Public Consultation for the Bristol Festival took place on Thursday, 25th October, from 6pm at the Trinity Centre, St Phillips, Bristol. The consultation raised and discussed many issues and ideas. A vote was held on the festival name, and it was decided to stick with the Bristol Festival, whilst some of the other names suggested may be used for stages. An online forum has been set up to allow the discussions to continue, so everyone is encouraged to visit the website, sign up and add their voice and opinions. A Bristol Festival logo is needed, so a competition has been launched for which submissions are invited. Read on for further details.
Your first Public Consultation was not the one and only chance for you to make your views known or to offer your help. If you have a skill and want to
get involved, or just want to say what you would want to see in a
festival, the forum on the Bristol Festival website is an ongoing opportunity to add your voice, discuss ideas and/or offer your skills.
Submissions and suggestions for logos should be emailed to

Another ongoing, easy and fun opportunity to be involved is at BFF (Bristol Festival Fundraiser) Sessions and
BFF Unsigned, local music nights running every Wednesday at Joe
Publics, Clifton Triangle, with the all the talent of Bristol including
live bands and DJs. Next up on Weds 31st is BFF Sessions Halloween Special at Joe Publics, with Octopussy, the Gooch and DJs Powercut and Lingo - probably the best Halloween night out to be had. Supporting local creativity just by going out, watching a few bands and having a few drinks? Who knew community involvement could be so easy!
