Pedro Luis Ferrer Rescheduled

Written by steve. Posted in Bristol Music

{mosimage}Pedro Luis Ferrer, Cuba's maverick troubadour, has been rescheduled to play the Colston Hall in Bristol on the 25th Oct 2006. This is one we are very much looking forward to after Pedro's unfortunate need to cancel his tour earlier this year. If you love Cuban music, don't miss this gig!

Pedro Luis Ferrer

Currently redefining what it is to be Cuban, Pedro Luis Ferrer provides a fresh take on the islands by stepping away from the salsa fixation of most bands visiting these shores to present heart achingly beautiful vocal and guitar music that is winning much critical acclaim. Pedro Luis Ferrer is not a new voice from Cuba but he has always taken his own path, sometimes to the annoyance of his government. His witty lyrics chronicle everyday life in sometimes surprising ways; take the song about the protest by cattle against artificial insemination (they prefer the ‘old way’) and you get the picture.
