Paraty at The BeBop Club

ParatyParaty will be appearing at The BeBop Club, The Bear, Hotwells Rd on Friday 18th May, 2007, 8.30pm. Tickets £6/£5.50. Paraty perform original compositions by Norma Daykin, the music is described as 'exciting, sensuous and evocative' (Andrew Downes) and 'beautiful' (Lemn Sissay).

Paraty will be appearing at The BeBop Club, The Bear, Hotwells Rd, Bristol on Friday 18th May, 2007, 8.30pm. Tickets £6/£5.50. The band perform original compositions by Norma Daykin, the music is described as 'exciting, sensuous and evocative' (Andrew Downes) and 'beautiful' (Lemn Sissay). Norma is a respected composer, currently one of 10 in the UK shortlisted by the Society for the Promotion of New Music and Serious Productions to write for the London Jazz Festival 2007.

The full band line up includes salsa/jazz virtuosos Tony Briscoe (piano), Sol Ahmed (bass), Damon Howles (drums) with additional textures from Knud Stuwe (guitar) and Lorraine Ayensu (percussion). Norma is joined on the front line by a dazzling combination of Bristol talent including Sav Pacini (trombone), Laura Phillips (tenor sax) and Emily Preston (soprano sax).
