Bristol Festival Public Meeting, Thurs 10th Jan
Bristol Festival LogoA second public meeting is being held to debate plans for the Bristol Festival, a new summer event to replace the now-bankrupt Ashton Court community festival. To make your views known, you can attend the meeting on 10 January at The Folk House on Park Street from 1900 GMT onwards. Organisers of the new Festival hope that it will become a South West version of the Edinburgh Fringe. The group behind the festival is made up of volunteers and is open to new members and partnerships. The festival will include various aspects of Bristol culture with events and activities taking place across the city, including art exhibitions, workshops and educational talks as well as club nights and gigs.

DJ Kryptik of DC Breaks and Ram recordings bringing the experimental jungle side of things after a back to back set from Bristol's Wascal and Superisk, who between them play some of the finest dubstep and breakstep that the scene has to offer including some of their own top quality productions. With Yiuwin Tsang bringing the breaks and the residents playing a proper mix up, the 19th will be the perfect start to your festive raving.

Fabric Album Launch & Tour Dates

fabric's new album four two cd cover Fabric are touring and partying in support of the imminent release of their new album ’four two’. There are a string of dates in Bristol, Bath, the South West and further afield, but we particularly wanted to mention the launch party taking place at Invention Arts in Bath on Saturday 1st December. The brand new CD will be available on the night for only £5 and there’ll be some top names in support including Rich Maya, Stanton Delaplane and Rob Phillips. Entry only £3. 'four two' will be available in shops and on iTunes from 3rd Dec, or you can buy from the band on the Fabric website.

Portishead are playing at Academy on December 15th in promotion of their new album and following an appearence at All Tomorrow's Parties, Minehead, a festival they are curating. Get yer tickets wherever you can, you can send us your spare ticket and we will love you 'til Tuesday. A ticket to All Tomorrows Parties will get you love 'til Wednesday.
