Following the release of their new EP, TWISTED and special guests will be playing at The Fleece in Bristol. They are a hard-rock band with a wall-of-noise approach to guitars and a vocal that's got gruff melodic appeal. Combining a tight mix of anthemic vocals, powerhouse drumming, thundering bass tones and the apocalyptic riffs, the bands latest production has moved them into a refreshing new chapter following their 2003 album “Peace Through Superior Firepower”. |

From 4th September, 20 "public pianos" will be distributed across
Bristol by local artist Luke Jerram. The street art event has been organised
by the Colston Hall in celebration of their newly refurbished
facilities. The pianos will be chained to lampposts and trees in
various locations with the intention of livening up the city, bringing
music to our ears, and generally getting people talking more. Luke has taken his project around the world, and now Bristol gets to feel the effects. On the
16th June 2009, 'Play Me, I'm Yours' was discussed in the House
of Lords regarding the absurdity of the UK music licencing laws.

Familiar name, familiar sound......with a twist. Gloucestershire boys The Effects of Alcohol are making quick tracks up the rock scene, and look set to become the saviours of british popular music.
Foot stomping rock anthems that are every inch British, and proud, set this 5 piece band apart from a wash of americanised punk and copycat indie twangings sporting Mockney accents that we have become accustomed to.
Stephen Morris of BBC radio Gloucestershire sums up their sound:
"They exist with the sole intention of rocking your world with the best riffs, snarls and drum beats that rock can buy"
Revolution awaits Bristol as the unstoppable BritRock 5-some look to add the southwest city to their list of casulties.....
